The 'powers that be' have done nothing ontoward to his various threads. They are all still active.

His original thread asking for info on the Song about The Murder of Kitty Genovese
Which took place on March 13, 1964 in Kew Gardens, Queens. The song her refers to is called:
Small Circle of Friends by Phil Ochs

There are no so many threads about this. Please click on the link in this post if you want to reply further and reply to his original thread. That will keep it in view.
I closed this thread and one other in an attempt to avoid splitting the discussion. Please post here (click). Personal message sent to the original poster.
    Thanks.

Looks to me like the "Powers That Be" closed that thread (see related threads above). Some kind of explanation would certainly be enlightening, as nothing on that thread seemed anything other than innoculous to my inferior mind. A bit of a duplication of other threads perhaps. Is this why? If so, half the political threads below the bar could be found equally guilty.

Ghindy:

The other options (not mentioned above) are:
1, Click on your own name in any message you've posted to (in blue after "From:") and you'll get a list of your recent posts,
2, Click on "Personal Page" at the top of (almost) any page, and one option available will be "Click for a list of your posted thread messages". This goes back to the "year dot", allowing you to view any message you've posted (under your own name) since your first post here (viewed in tranches of 200 items!)

CHEERS

Now that you know that a thread only stays visible witin 24 hours of the last post and how to go about looking for your thread, you shouldn't have any problems in the future. I also refreshed the two others for you at the same time I made this post.

Right-- "refresh" has a box next to it for setting the time period.

And the search function is in the blue box.

Other options include pushing the "Add to Tracer" button (in the dark blue stripe above the post-compose box), which puts a link to your thread on your personal page... or bookmraking your thread and using the bookmark to get back to it. Or use your browser's History function.

We could give you a link to the thread but it's better to learn to use the site features by trying them out.

Welcome to Mudcat!

Things drop off the daily threads display - reset the Age dropdown box - or use the search.

to look back for past days and weeks in the threads?

also the search feature---the "forum" refers to the threads
and D.T. is the data base of Lyrics, chords, etc.
