I wonder if Baby Custard will ever come back and see the results of his query. Or does he just like wasting people's time?

If my Basket of Turf is the same as yours, then it's #735 in O'Neill's, a double jig in the key of G. However, when I play it, it seems to me that some of the C's ought to be C#'s, but not all of them. I leave that up to you.

There is a pick-up note, an eighth note on low E. After that, the chords I play are these: (each line of type equals one measure of music)

A part:
Em
D
Em
D Em
Em
D
G
D
(repeat A part)

B part

Em
G D
Em (or C)
B Em (or C)
Em or C
G D
G
D Em
(repeat B part)

Measure 12, the one with the B in it, has a D# as its second note. That's why it needs a B, not the usual Bm.

Playing the C chords in the second part adds sweetness and sparkle. Try it.

Let me know how this works for you.

I am not a chord person, but a standard E Dorian ought to work...along the lines of Em, D, A,Fm and Bm? (mostly this is just a refresh)
