Subject: RE: Nottingham session From: GUEST,Dáithí Ó Geanainn Date: 28 May 05 - 11:43 AM Hi Johnny - Ah no..it so happens that I am teaching at the Irish Language Group (held at the Irish centre in Nottingham) on a Thursday night..and one of the attenders was going to the session. She told me and I couldn't think of a better thing to do at 9.30. A good end to a long day! But Gaucho and I did a guest night gig at Bourne Folk Club last night which seemed to go down well - you'll have to check with them, though, for impartial reviews! ;¬) Understand there's a session at Bonby tomorrow (Sunday) night, plus the BIG Barrow do on tuesday... maybe see you there? Best- D |

Subject: Nottingham session From: GUEST,Dáithí Ó Geanainn Date: 27 May 05 - 10:52 AM Well I had the great good fortune to be in Nottingham last night and was ended up in the Mechanics Arms (er...you know what I mean). Some fine musicians althoughas i was there with a couple of folks from the Irish Language Group I didn't get a chance to talk to many....so, I was wondering if any Mudcatters were there at all? If so i was the middle aged whistler who did a bit of lilting too. Say hello next time maybe? Cheers - Dáithí |
