Subject: RE: name and lyr's of song - protestant/catholic/goat From: GUEST,songsmith Date: 24 Jun 05 - 09:40 PM Not sure, I will post what I can (hopefully within the next few hours) I have never heard the song myself but a neighbour has asked me can I get him the words. I will enquire of a line or two and add to the thread. Thanks for taking the time to reply, hopefully with a line or two it may jog a few memories. songsmith |

Subject: name and lyr's of song From: GUEST,songsmith Date: 20 Jun 05 - 10:21 AM Can anyone help, I have been asked for the lyrics of a song about two neighbours, one catholic the other protestant. The catholic awakes to find his goat is missing as the protestant has skinned it for his lambeg drum. I think the song originates from the Ballynahinch area in County Down (not sure) Thanks songsmith |
