All Proper box sets are only £10.99 in HMV, Oxford Street (the one opp. Poland St). £16.99 usually in other stores.

Nice to know it is good, I recorded it for later consumption.
I just got the Proper Box, Jazz in Britain, a 4 CD set covering recordings from the '20s to the'50s. Some strange stuff on it, but pretty good up to the end of CD2, which is as far as I have listened to date.

For those whose interests stretch beyond folk music (and I know it's a catholic group here) BBC2 is repeating its BBC4 3-part series on the history of British jazz, starting tonight 11:35pm.

Mick (unashamedly endorsing use of UK prefix for something few outside of UK are likely to be able to see!)
