The MP3s on the site are there specifically so that one can form an opinion. If I don't like what I heard there I doubt I would like the album itself. I don't find that presumptuous.

I think it's great that you are so moved by this singer - I'm not trying to detract from that. Surely you don't expect everyone to like what you do?

Fair enough radriano but the MP3 are just small bits of the songs, do you not think it a bit presumptuous basing your opinion on them???

Hmm, well, I listened to the MP3s on the site and was not moved at all. I found it typical singer-songwriter fare. But I don't expect everyone to agree with my tastes and I wish Clare Watts the best of luck.

I just felt so touched by her material. It makes me angry to hear some of the rubbish that is released and then you come accross something like this.....

There is a lot of musical talent tucked away in little villages as well as cities around the world. It is nice to stumble on a person or group that moves one with their music.   Mudcat is also a great place to find songs, singers, and musicians and information. Thanks for passing on the information about Claire.

Hi all.
I am new to this forum. Actually found it while doing a search for Willie week. Cool forum. Great   to have access to such a resouse...
By the way I was in Miltown for Willie week this year and I came across this wonderfull singer/songwriter named Claire Watts who is from Galway or Miltown I believe. I heard her singing on the tuesday afternoon some of her own material. It was amazing.
I bought her CD and the songs are so heartfelt and touching.
Worth checking out BIG TIME.

Looking forward to next year and maybe another lucky find.
