In addition to the Old Town School of Folk Music you may want to contact the Hogeye Music store in Evanston.

Depending on when you're in there's a lot of suburban folk societies that run weekend shows. Many of them are easily accessible by train. In Chicago itself, check out the Old Town School of Folk Music. If you're still there on Sunday night there's an on-going folk night from 7-9;30 at Bill's Blues in Evanston then. If you happen to be in the area on Oct. 9, the band playing there will be mine.

Can't help, but I am sure there will be more than enough info as soon as that area's Catters wake up.

Many folk clubs over there? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

God bless and take care eh.

I am an active duty soldier serving in Afganistan and hopefully am coming home next month on R&R and plan on spending a weekend in Chicago. I would like to catch some live folk bands. If someone could point me in the direction I would be very grateful.

Thank you,
Michael
