Thanks, Amos. She is in town already. I know she's in one of the Comfort Inns. I'll see if I can contact her.

When will you be in town? Maybe we can get together and make some music. I'd ask you over but the house is upside down at the moment. You can go over to La Jolla and grok the ocean, and sometimes watch a herd of seals that has taken over one of the cove beaches. No end of nice restaurants.

Casa Bandini, in Old Town.

Quite a few Mudcatters live in California but I'm not sure how many live in the San Diego area. Maybe some of them will see this thread.

I like San Diego. My daughter and her family lived there for a number of years before they settled in Escondido.

One place I like to go when I'm down there is the San Diego Wild Animal Park (actually in Escondido.) They have several hundread acres where animals roam free, different - but compatible - animals in the same compounds. Of course, the big cats are separate.

Anyway, the tourist boards a train that encircles the compound and you get to see the critters in a more natural habitat. (Not perfect- because these animals look forward to the arrival of the food trucks, but it's definitely better than the standard zoo.

I also like Old Town. It has lots of little shops on the brick-lined plazas; it's a good place to walk. And lots of restaurants, my family have taken me various times to 'Casa de B.... ' All of a sudden I've gone blank. Anyway if you wish you can eat outdoors there. Lots of little tables, green leafy trees and paths, a mariachi band and BIG Bathtub Margaritas.

Let us know what you -your friend?- ended up doing. It's a cool place.

Hi!

A Mudcatter musican finds herself in San Diego with more than 24 hours to fill before her flight back home. Does anyone have any ideas? Music happenin' anywhere? Anyone wanting to say Hi!?

If not, any advice on what she should do and see while in the city?

Thank you much.

El
