This sounds as if it's really good - his old Folkways CD is excellent. A recording of Hobart Smith is one of the things that turned me on to Old Time back in the early sixties. I can't wait to hear it. His touch on banjo, guitar, fiddle and piano is amazing.

I'm about halfway through this amazing recording. It's some of the best old time music I've listened to. Fleming Brown recorded this 42 years ago, sitting down with Smith and getting him to play for hours. My old friend Stephen Wade, who learned banjo from Brown finally edited the tapes and released them on Smithsonian Folkways.
If you like old time music give a listen, you will be amazed.
