I'm pretty excited to announce that our rescheduled concert on Feb 25 will include Stacy Phillips, Grammy award-winner and author of over 25 books and DVDs on resonator guitar and fiddle, as our special guest fiddler!

Concert postponed 2 weeks until Feb 25. The town of North Haven has already instituted a parking ban in anticipation of the storm so it would have been difficult playing loud enough for drive-by listeners to hear. Here's what I sent out to our mailing list:

The ShoreGrass concert scheduled for tonight, Feb 11, 2006 in North Haven has been re-scheduled for the snowdate of Saturday, Feb 25. (And it had better snow, now...) Sorry to those folks who bought advance tickets and others who were planning to go, but the bright side is that it will give us more time to clean up our act and learn more banjo jokes. Or are the two mutually exclusive?

Hope to see you on the snow-free, sunny 25th of February in two weeks.

What luck. Now they're predicting a nor'easter starting Saturday afternoon!! Just what we needed to get folks out to hear some bluegrass... Well, the snow date is February 25, and there might be some interesting subs on fiddle and mandolin if we have to go for a snow date.

Frank and I took a ride to check out the church, and it's a little gem. We're looking forward to making some music there with the band on Saturday. Hopefully there will be a few people besides dwditty who are interested in hearing it!!

YVW, Barbara. Our choir director at NHCC is big in the Pierpont Concerts. Can't wait to hear you there...the acoustics are fabulous.

On Saturday, Feb 11, Shoregrass (Barbara & Frank Shaw's bluegrass band - well not "theirs" maybe, but the one they play in) will appear at the North Haven Congregational Church (28 Church Street) at 7PM. If you have not seen them perform, I rate it as a must see. If you have seen them, then you know what I mean.
