The Yazoo CD Earl refers to is fantastic and is a must for any fan of jug band music. Can't help with lyrics, but there is some excellent biographical material on Noah Lewis and Gus Cannon available at Big Tony's site on early Blues performers at http://www.geocities.com/~bigtony1/

There is a Yazoo CD called "Cannon's Jug Stompers - The Complete Works 1927-1930. It includes transcribed lyrics of 11 of the 24 songs on the recording. I don't think they are 100% accurate but it is a good place to start. The CD is excellent.

I suggest that you start with the DT database that lives here. Look on your screen and someplace you will find "Search the DigiTrad database". Write the name of the song you want, or a phrase, or the artist. You can use an asterick for a "wild card" that is to stand for any letter. So, for example, having said all that, [Canon* Jug Stompers]

I have to admit that I just did, and it turned up no results. but neither did anything else. I think there might be a problem with it at the moment
