I inserted the code for the less than character rather than the character itself (& l t ; with no spaces), but only within the tune itself.

I did not do it on your URL as I assumed it was a fully formed HTML URL anchor. Leaving out the angle brackets would fix that as they seem to have no purpose other than to hide the URL

What went wrong? What did you dio to fix it?

I see you've left my website URL out of the Z: line, is Mudcat's software so fucked up I can't claim attribution for my own transcriptions in the obviously useful way? (I've encountered that on another web forum - the admin fixed it as soon as I complained, so it is possible).

There are many places where ABC files may need to have embedded URLs.

Thanks - a lovely tune - I'll give it an airing on the fiddle later this evening

Mudcat mangled that beyond recognition.
Email me for a correct version (try my gmail address, userid Jack dot Campin).

The Ceol na Fidhle version is screwed up, I think (crappy series of books, and the only person I know who learned this tune from it ended up with it it badly garbled).

Here's the right one, if the Mudcat software doesn't eat the broken-rhythm signs thinking they're HTML tags...

If that doesn't make sense, google for my name and email me.

There'a a MIDI On This Page
There are plenty of progs which will convert a MIDI to dots. Look on Mudcat for "Harmony" which is a prog by Mudcatter Pavane.
Quack!
GtD.

Anyone got the ABC (or dots) for 'Leaving Lochboisdale'. It's a slow Scottish air

http://www.ibiblio.org/fiddlers/LEA_LEG.htm gives some info:

LEAVING LOCHBOISDALE. Scottish, Slow Air (6/8 time). B Minor. Standard. AABB'. Composed by Pipe Major J. Wilson. Martin (Ceol na Fidhle, Vol. 3), 1988; pg. 9. Old Blind Dogs – "Five."

I'm also looking for ABC for 'Farwell to Stromness'

Tapadh leat

Domnull
