Christopher upright bass is one that has been suggested to me.
Depending on how much you want to spend , I feel that it is a nice
bass for the price.

I just took my bass to the luthier today and he gave me pretty bad news. To predictably improve the action it will cost several hundred dollars. I bought the bass about 4 years agof for $1300 and since then I have learned a bit of how to play so I have decided that I might want to move up to a better instrument. Does anyone have any suggestions of stores where they have a decent selection of upright basses? I am happy to fly whereever in US to try them out, but I don't want to buy another instrument without getting a chance to try it out.   any help will be appreciated.
