The 2nd Oakengates Free Folk Day will take place this year on Saturday the 16th of September in and around the Crown Inn and the Olde Fighting Cocks. Both pubs are in Market Street, Oakengates, Nr. Telford, Shropshire. Both pubs, as well as the Station (opp. the Crown) have a large selection of real ales.
Guests so far booked include Dave Gibb, Claret, Emma & the Professor and Bit On The Side.
This year we are holding a craft fair and several morris sides have been invited (to dance that is, not for the craft fair!). We also hope to have an appalachian side and belly dancers.
