This, incidentally, will be one of the last ever occasions on which the Salt Town Poets will be performing together. We've decided to abandon performing as a group in order tod concentrate on promotional work, including our tie-in with Dave Thompson's 'Live & Local Events' and our own 'Salt Town Promotions' events.
Individually, however, we'll still be active as performers; myself with Cheshire Folk Legend Bob Webb, Ian with first ever John Brunker Trophy Winner Andy Roscoe, and Professor Parsons in his continuing role as Deputy Mayor of Congleton - possibly the greatest performance of his life. Next year, all being well, he'll be Mayor Of Congleton. Think of that.

I don't know whether the esteemed Mr Wrigley does much overseas work these days, although he certainly did at one time.

He's kept busy, of course, with TV acting as well as his numerous British gigs.

And yes Isambarde are indeed at the Boar's Head on August 5th, the day after Bernard, as part of Dave Thompson's 'Live & Local' season.

This Saturday (29th July), incidentally, it's Cheshire folk legends Calico Jack.

Details of all Live & Local and Salt Town Promotions events are on our website at salttownpoets@aol.com

Thanks to everyone for your interest.

Does the Bullfrog ever get to the oppsite shores of the pond? I'd love to catch him live & would travel quite a bit to hear him but overseas, New Hampshire to there "it's a long, long way". A old roommate of mine & mudcatter Riggy Rackin (27 or 28yrs ago) had a tape or an LP of him & I got to lifting his versions of "Lass of Maui" & "Larry Marr", best versions, still, that I've ever heard.

Barry

Bugger - can't make it on the fourth as I'm on holiday in Cornwall. However I'll be up on the fifth with the rest of Isambarde for a gig at the same venue - be nice to see anyone who can make it!

Chris
