I have a Bushes and Briars and number of other Llanerch reissues - they're real treasures.

Patrick O'Shaughnessy's collections of songs found in Lincolnshire are all out of print, and all worth having. There aren't any songs collected by RVW in the three books mentioned above, though, as "Shimrod" has said; most were recorded and/or noted by Percy Grainger.

Roy Palmer's Bushes and Briars: Folk Songs Collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams is also an excellent book, but certainly not "hard to get". It is in print, and available new, at a good price, from the publishers:

Llanerch Press.

Sorry to be pedantic but little, if any, of the Lincolnshire material, in the books edited by Patrick O'Shaughnessy and cited above, was collected by 'R.V.Williams' (I've done a quick scan but have failed to find a mention of his name). The majority of the songs printed in these two books were collected by Percy Grainger. Apart from Grainger a few other Twentieth Century Lincolnshire collectors are represented.

Hi, Squeeze Box - do you have those books for sale, or are you offering to transcribe songs from them for us?

I have several hard to get volumes of English Traditional Folk songs collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams:More Folk Songs from Lincolnshire; Yellowbelly Ballads Parts I and 2 all edited by Patrick O'Shaughnessy; larger "Bush and Briars" collection edited by Roy Palmer. If anyone is interested in any copies of these songs please email me at massatty@isp.com

I am interested in any Steeleye Span Songbook copies of the first 6 or so records.
