Thanks Jack - I have Brian Hayward's book, and I'm specifically interested to hear about recollections of versions of the death/rebirth play from north of the English/Scottish border, which have the generic name 'Galoshins'...

I've only seen it in Cornwall.

There is a book about it in Scotland.

Hello, just wondering if anybody (in Scotland particularly) has any recollections of seeing the folk play commonly known as 'Galoshins' in action... or has any information on it in general.
