Subject: RE: Gloucester Hornpipe From: Jo Taylor Date: 08 Mar 99 - 11:13 AM Grovelling accepted! Here's the tune. Just had one of those spooky moments - the tune below it (College H'pipe) in my notebook was written in there for me by Paul Burgess (one of the Old Swan fiddlers). Subject: RE: Gloucester Hornpipe From: PeteFletcher Date: 08 Mar 99 - 08:33 AM Jo, I did try to respond to your messages by email but had some difficulty with the software. (I'm rather new to all this) As you say the versions you sent were slightly different to the ones I found, and the version of PG's rather easier to play. (On melodeon anyway) I have emailed this to you but have left it here as well, (in case I get it all wrong again) Cheers Pete |
Subject: RE: Gloucester Hornpipe From: Jo Taylor Date: 07 Mar 99 - 07:19 PM Did you get the others I posted? And my email? - I put them on the threads (President Garfield & Dorsetshire H'pipes) as I'd already taken the time to type them out. (They were a little different from the versions you'd found by then). If you'd like this one please send me an e mail - it's nice to get a little acknowledgment *grin* - and I'll type it out tomorrow. Jo jo.taylor@wanadoo.fr |
Subject: Gloucester Hornpipe From: PeteFletcher Date: 07 Mar 99 - 07:58 AM Has anyone got the ABC for the Gloucester H/P as played by Old Swan Band ? The B part sounds a little like "The Sailors H/P" Perhaps it has another title? Thanks Pete |
