I am presently working on a new web site and you can find the words to the St Day Carol in both English and Cornish plus hear a recording made by Cornish scholl children at the following URL. I'm afraid the Cornish of the children is not very clear as they only had a short time in rehersal.

There are other Cornish carols on the site and more will be added shortly. It may take time to download first time so please be patient.

For your song books, try Lyngham House Music. Mike O'Connor has published loads and is the authority on Cornish music.

This is more usually called the Sans Day Carol, under which title it's in the Oxford book of Carols and Carols for Choirs Vol.2, with my favourite arrangement by John Rutter. It's also on Digital Tradition under its first line: Now the holly bears a berry as white as the milk.

I really have to get a Cornish songbook -- any suggestions? -- but in the meantime, can anyone help me witih the words to the Saint Day Carol ("oh the holly bears a berry. . .") and the Skippers of St. Ives? Both can be heard (very roughly!) after scrolling down to the appropriate song title here.

Thanks a bunch!
