Don't know how bad it is out there but hopefully traffic etc will clear by 8.00. Does rather depend if the piper makes it home to hillsbourgh from where ever he is today and guitarist was on a course somewhere as well.

I've not heard anything to say that its cancelled.   I thought the wind was going to drop a bit this evening and over tomorrow.   I'm still being picked up at 8.00 in the middle of Sheffield.   I will pm you my mobile and you can give me a ring.

Im really worried about the weather Julie, especially as we have a high sided Kangoo. might not make it, which would be terrible - Ive been looking forward to seeing Crazy Crow for the first time.
Could you tell me if it is definately on in view of the weather please???

Asirovedout - if you are not venturing out of the valley can you nip round sometime in the evening and check that I still have a roof ! :) ( or more probably :( )

Hope everyone can venture out against the weather - its suppost to be getting a wee bit better this evening.

See you there

J

Firstly, Happy New Year Julie. Best of luck at Anston. I will try to be there if my course work allows. For the uninitiated, Anston is a friendly club with lots of nice folks who'll make you feel welcome. The room is good for performing and the beer is very, very acceptable.

Regards
Andy (Kiveton Park FC)

There hasn't been a Anston Folk festival for a number of years now.

Sorry

Hi

Crazy Crow is having another go at playing Anston Folk Club on Thursday 18th January after having to cancel in October due to unforseen circumstances.

Anston is a friendly club based at the Loyal Trouper in South Anston (just off the M1 on the A57 south of Sheffield)which has a mixture of singers' nights and guests.   Everyone is welcome.

Crazy crow is a long established session band which over the years has numerous members.   The Anston lineup will include piper, fidler, guitar/singer and singer and will aim to bring the Irish session experience to the club. It should be an informal ,fun evening and the lads have foolishly agreed that I can do all the introductions.

There is a small charge usually a pound or two and the beer is good, so please come along.

Julie
