We are delighted that Pete Shepheard, a founder member of the TMSA, has kindly agreed to be Singer in Residence, and there will be a be a headline Concert on the Saturday night, featuring Karine Polwart, Corrina Hewat and Annie Grace, who, in this "Girly Trio" combination took the 2006 Celtic Connections and Edinburgh Fringe by storm. There is a very full programme for both days, including sessions, talks and workshops on a variety of song-related topics, including, as in previous Singers' Gatherings, "The Muckle Sing", a special workshop and performance platform for Community Singing Groups. Apart from those already named above, tutors will include Scott Gardiner and Geordie Murison, Brian Miller, Ian Walker, and Gifford Lind. Ian Green of Greentrax recordings (also a sponsor) will be doing "Desert Island Discs" with Pete Shepheard, and Dan Markey and Jimmy Scott are hosting a Gospel session on the Sunday morning.
