Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Pompy Pompy Tom From: Jim Dixon Date: 30 Jan 07 - 11:39 PM That wouldn't be "rompy-pompy" would it? (Even if it were, I still wouldn't have the lyrics.) |

Subject: Lyr Req: Pompy Pompy Tom From: GUEST,Gadaffi Date: 29 Jan 07 - 06:43 AM Listed among the repertoire of the Webb Family of Maidstone. I assume the journalsit concerned transcribed the title correctly. Pompey is the nickname give to Portsmouth, but neither spelling finds a match. Believed to have been written in the 1890s. No reference in the British Library catalogue or Kilgariff. |
