Subject: RE: John's Pub in Mystic, CT From: katlaughing Date: 24 Mar 99 - 11:51 PM Sorry, I knew I'd forgotten that important point! If you go down to the east side of the drawbridge in downtown Mystic, the same side as the big flagpole. Facing the drawbridge, to your left, the last street before one can goover the drawbridge, is Cottrell (I think). Anyway, turn left down that street, so you are headed south towards the water. The Mystic River with the boats, etc. will be on your right. John's is only about two or three buldings down on the left or east side. There was a seashell shop across from him and a photo developing shop next to him. I will look it up tonight and find out the address for sure, but you can see the old sailing ships from his place up river,so it's not far from the Seaport. |

Subject: John's Pub in Mystic, CT From: katlaughing Date: 23 Mar 99 - 11:36 PM Roger, my hubby, wanted me to make sure anyone who is going to Mystic, CT in June, to the Seaport thingy, knows about John's Pub. It's Irish and last we knew (last summer) John doesn't take American Express or any other credit cards, checks, etc. A lot of people who hang out there like to remain anonymous, apprently, so it's all cold, hard cash. It is a grand place from what Rog tells me. It was his one refuge from the kids, cats, dog, neighbors, work and me, so I kinda let it be his. He is sure John would welcome some music and the musicians who make it! So, if you go and we don't make it, tell John, Rog says hi! Katlaughing
