The New Brunswick (Canada) singer-songwriter has just won a song-writing contest out of Nashville - 15,000 entrants, judged by Brian Wilson, Roseanne Carter-Cash, among other big-shots.
I saw him last summer here in Pugwash, and he performed the winning song (before it was the winning song!) - I forget the title ... I was impressed with his performance over-all. He's been getting a lot of buzz on the east coast in the past year or so.
(The prize is not enormous: $4,000 and a new guitar ... )
