Subject: Worlds of Trad June 2007 Upload
From: Fred McCormick
Date: 20 Jun 07 - 09:32 AM

Apologies - again - for not meeting the self imposed upload deadline (Wednesday June 13th) for my Worlds of Trad Internet radio station. The last couple of months have seen me suffering endless computer problems which have now been traced to a dysfunctional mother board, and which ended up making audio editing all but impossible. Please, no heartfelt sympathies or technical advice. But apologies also if the new programme sounds even clunkier than usual :-).

Anyway, after endless cursing and hair tearing, the new programe is uploaded, and as always features the very best in traditional folk, ethnic, world, roots, blues, old time country and early jazz; in fact traditional music from absolutely everywhere.

This month there's a few tunes from Seamus Ennis, various tracks from Topic's new World Music relases, a group of Hebridean women singers, songs and tunes from London Irish pubs, a song from my mate Ken Hall and tributes to several musicians who've passed away in the last month.

The full playlist can be seen below (and at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=160651486, where you can see more details, plus scans of some of the booklet covers.)

To listen to the programme, go to http://www.live365.com/stations/oneworldmusic , then click on the yellow speaker button. If you need to, follow the onscreen instructions to download the station player. Then wait a moment or two and the station will be on the air.

The next upload will be Wednesday July 18th 2007, by which time all my computer woes should be fixed. If, you've crept onto this list by accident and don't want to receive future notifications please let me know. Don't forget, listening is free and I'm always glad to receive requests. You can contact me on Fredlive365@aol.com .
