No opinion from me, just an unusual story.
Funny old place, England.

I did wonder if it was 1st April again when I read an article about this today in The Times (well, you have to do something when you are visiting sick relatives in hospital!).

Good on 'em I say.

I personally know at least one Civil Servant who morris danced - I'm glad to see there are others but may I state here, for the record, that although I am a Civil Servant, I AM NOT THE WOMAN MENTIONED IN THE ARTICLE!!!

I'm eagerly awaiting more news of this group on our CS Intranet...

I met an Angel morris man working in the same division in my first job in the Civil Service in 1973. And for a couple of years, more recently, half my team of 6 were former morris dancers (one Cotswold, one north-west, one molly). And I'm not the woman mentioned in the article either.

Falconer gets morris dance troupe

My MP (and I use the word "my" in its loosest possible sense), Jonathan Shaw, is an ex Morrisman.

Didn't stop him toeing the party line over licensing acoustic music, though.

I can't tell you how much I hope we'll see the back of him at the next election.

Don T.
