Subject: So take out the fiddle beat on the drum

Two (or was it three?) years ago my wife and I were at Banbury Folk Festival and heard a couple sing two songs that she'd like to learn. They both played guitar and sang and the first of the songs was King Cotton. Thanks to Mudcat, we now have the lyrics to this but we've drawn a blank with the second. It's an emigration song with a chorus that goes
" So take out the fiddle beat on the drum
A kiss to the old a call to the young
When the drink's all gone the last song sung
You can follow your dreams to America
            So far across the sea"
and at least some of the verses end "and I'll never see you again."
Does anyone recognise this? We'd love to get the rest of the words and if possible find out who the couple were that sang these songs as we'd like to see them again. Thank you. Jim
