In the Dixieland Jug Blowers' version of Don't Give All the Lard Away, what is the singer's accent?

I'm writing a story and was hoping to use this song as a voice reference for one of my characters, who is in a jug band. However, I'm not sure about the origin of this accent. I'm also curious if he's doing a 'minstrel voice'. I don't know exactly how to identify that - there are some more obvious examples in their other songs, and this one is kind of ambiguous. I just don't want to use a minstrel song as a black character's natural singing voice.

He sounds different from the other singers/speakers in the album as well, so I can't identify him by name.
