A friend of mine has lent me one of her guitars to play while I save up money for one of my own (I have a classical guitar, but want to buy myself a steel-string).

The guitar I am borrowing is called a Renaissance, and it was purchased either in the Canadian Maritimes or the Northeast U.S.A. My friend doesn't know anything more about it than that. She says that it was not a pricey guitar.

I quite enjoy playing this particular guitar, and I am wondering if anyone can give me more information about Renaissance. Is it a make worth pursuing? I am a fairly new guitar player, but I play a lot of instruments, and I am quite picky about tone and pitch, and want an instrument with a rich bass ringing sound.
