The death has been announced of the actor Eric Flynn from cancer. 'Catters with long memories may remember him in the 1970 television series "Ivanhoe" in which he played the title role. He was more of a stage musical actor than film actor but one film he appeared in was "Empire of the Sun" which must have brought back some memories to him as he spent part of his early life in a POW camp. Before folk say "who?" he is the father of Jerome Flynn, actor and singer. My sympathies to the family.
