Sorry to say I found out yesterday that Jim McIntyre died.

Jim was probably one of the worlds greatest all around Celtic Fiddler, an amazing performer and most of all a great human being. I was his main backup guitarist for at least 13 years of my life and I learned more about Celticmusic from him (and music in general) then I thought I ever would. His wife Eileen Dranane McIntyre survives him and was the harp player in our band , named the Usual Suspects. Gina Tlamsa played flute and Tacy Derupp played concertina. An all star cast. Jim also ran Scottish Bands. Often we played with Richard Wolfe on the Pipes and other instruments.

Does anyone remember Jim McIntyre?

Eric Levine
