This is a plug to see the bassist, Gary Karr, when you have the opportunity. Yes, he's a classical player, but more than that he's a showman. He takes fine music and wrings out every bit of expression from a piece. What grabs your attention first is the comical pieces which he does with a lot of theatre but the serious stuff reaches a deep emotional level. You'll come out of the recital hall thankful for music.
Why am I writing this here? 'Cause good music is good music. (And Gary Karr will play some blues or folk related music in a concert) -sir
