Does anyone remember the early days of Sevenoaks Folk Club? There were at least three regular venues in the 60's - a (very recently) disused cowshed behind the Kentish Yeoman(?) pub at Seal which had a great atmosphere, with hay still in the feeding troughs and bales of straw to sit on; a room behind the Farmers pub on Tubs Hill, and the Arthur Barnard Hall near Bat and Ball.

Guests I remember include Dave Plane, Keith Nelson (banjo), Dave and Toni Arthur, and Bill Clifton. Local regulars included Hay Brickell, Bill Shorrock, the Sleepie Dragons including singer-songwriter Monty Parkin, Bo Foaks and also your humble correspondent, and a group called Bar-Q which if memory serves featured a stunning girl singer who left to join the police.

More please!
