There is a thread about the Black Banjo Revival on Mudcat, but I thought I'd start a separate thread to let anyone in the area know that Rhiannon Giddens, who is at the forefront of this movement, will be performing as part of Richmond Folk Music's "Folk in the Grove" Concert series on Saturday, November 19th. I saw Rhiannon at the National Folk Festival. This will be a stunning show.
Our little folk music concert series is taking off! Next spring we've got a couple of Mudcatters lined up - Gwylym Davies (March) and Deb Cowan (May).
