NPR recently carried an obit for Margaret(Maggie) Bailey of Harlan County, KY, who died at the age of 101. She started selling moonshine in the '30's and continued till her death selling beer and whiskey illegally in Harlan County, which is a dry county. Her lawyer was interviewed and said she was very knowledgeable in case law related to the 4th amendment.
Now here is the music connection: is she the model for the bluegrass classic "Katie Daley"(sounds like Maggie Bailey) as sung by Ralph Stanley w/ author credit to Paul Mullins ?
