Might try, I think it's the , Bow and Arrow. Sunday afternoons, they have a session of Cape Breton style musicians.

Been a while so I'm not sure if it is still done there.

There are. Is there a particular tradition you're craving? There's Irish, Cape Breton, Olde Time....

Hi,
A good resource for sessions in and around Toronto is Wil M's Toronto Celtic Music resources page.

sessions directory

From memory there is one Sunday late afternoons at Dora McGeogh's on the Danforth. The Comhaltas hold a session every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the TRANZAC (they break for summer). Also at the TRANZAC, though not trad, is a Gypsy Swing workshop on Monday's (with a jam or suchlike on Wednesday's)

There is other stuff as Black Walnut stated, and maybe she or others can help on that.

I was at Dora Keogh's yesterday. It's a very nice session, traditional Irish. I'd recommend it. Starts at about 5:00 P.M. on Sundays and it was going strong when whe left at 7:45.

Don't know any details apart from this, which was forwarded to me by someone. Might be of interest to folks in this thread: (It's TORONTO)

Cheers Rana

ollaimh,

That's interesting. It's not me though and no relation as far as I know. Latimer isn't an overly common name, I've run across a few in my life, but never another Steve.

Apparently 'Ceili House' on RTÉ radio (Ireland) last Saturday night came from Toronto- lots of wonderful Irish music. (These programmes are archived, I think.)
