For information, please refer to: www.celticfestival.ca

Please note that the festival is preceded by the Celtic College, August 5-8. Four days of intensive workshops.

On a personal note, I am so very busy as a full-time festival volunteer, but never too busy to say "Hi" to Mudcat friends and others. I am usually at or near the instrument security area, and I would love to see folks from here come for a visit and hang out for a while. After hours jams and parties happen on a "by chance" basis, but I am usually in the loop and can help you find one.

Thanks.

Mooh.

Phil. Any chance you can visit again this year? Might be nice for the 10th. Mooh.

Mooh,

Not sure yet. Saw Warren at the folk alliance over the weekend in Jacksonville, Fla. Got there a day or so early, so we had a good chance to visit. I'll have to see what Margaret and Kate's plans are, or if another gig walks in the door. We sure had a great time last year. My best to the family, I'll keep you posted

Refresh.

Special note to guitar and mandolin players: Tony McManus and Simon Mayor!

Mooh.

Just thought to refresh this after reading George's posting about the Montreal Celtic Festival which happens on the same dates. If one drives like a fiend, one could attend both festivals, LOL.

Another year, if I haven't still mortgaged my soul to the Goderich festival, maybe I'll get to Montreal.

If you visit Goderich, ask for Crocker (that's me). If you visit Montreal, tell us about it here! Thanks.

Peace, Mooh.

Update and clarification...

Cian will not be appearing as advertised earlier. I'm not sure but I think their whole tour was cancelled. It's still a pretty good lineup this year.

Accommodations are filling fast, though some friends found a room in Bayfield (about 15 minutes south) and a week ago I heard there were still a couple of sites at the provincial park (5 minutes north).

I believe the Celtic College is heading for record attendance. Folk is alive and well.

Peace, Mooh.
