On September 25 we will be travelling by train from Sarnia, Ontario to Nova Scotia ... about ten days in all. We plan to take the Bras d'Or Train and spend some time in Cape Breton and perhaps also on Prince Edward Island.
Can anyone suggest any interesting things to see or do that we might otherwise miss?
Also interested in hearing local music where possible.

you should visit hull, there is loads og folk music, fish and chips etc, and good piubs.john

Though there is another Hull on the Quebec side of the river from Ottawa.
