Well the tour's already started, but hear are some details for the rest of it. Debby McClatchy, Tom Sauber, Brad Leftwich and Alice Gerrard are touring Scotland and England as The Gathering. Tonight (Thu 20th Jan) they're in the Noel Arms, Melton Mowbray. The rest of the tour is:
Fri 21st - Bridgewater Arts Centre, Somerset
Sat 22nd - Merlin Theatre, Bath Road Frome, Somerset
Sun 23rd - The Crabshell Inn, Kingsbridge, Devon
Mon 24th - The Eastwood Theatre, Eastwood, Notts
Fri 28th - Village Hall, West Ashling, Chichester
Sat 29th - Arts Centre, Bridport, Dorset
Mon 31st - Owen's Brasserie, Shrewsbury
Wed Feb 2nd - Huntingdon Hall, Worcester
Thu 3rd - Elizabethan High School, Retford, Notts

So far they've done Celtic Connections, Glenrothes, the Archie Fisher radio show (Travelling Folk) and Bingham Notts, and they've gone down a storm.
They play old time Appalachian mountain music using banjos, fiddle, guitar and voices (both solo and superb harmony).
These guys are the real thing, and as good as it gets.
My connection? - as a friend, I'm driving and guiding them, and closely listening to what they do, and enjoying every minute of it.
Cheers
Ray

I had to think about that one Guest and it'll be lost on those not used to food shopping in the UK!

Go along, have a great time (meet Ray!!!!), join FOAOTMAD -

Friends of American Old Time Music and Dance

See you at Bridgwater and Kingsbridge...

Assuming they'll be back next year for another tour, does anyone know who's acting as agent for them?

TIA
Barbara

Yes it's Emerging Music, run by Ken and Sue Bradburn. They have a website.
Cheers
Ray (their roadie)
