Subject: RE: OLD SONGS 2007 Performers are listed From: Barbara Shaw Date: 30 Dec 06 - 12:49 PM Stillhouse Rounders is a terrific string band, and the lead singer has a unique, memorable voice. I bought one of their albums from Folk Legacy on Sandy Paton's recommendation a couple of years ago, and they do the best version of "In the Pines" (uptempo) that I've ever heard. |

Subject: RE: OLD SONGS 2007 Performers are listed From: Rabbi-Sol Date: 30 Dec 06 - 06:47 PM Pat Wictor is definitely NOT a blues singer. He is pure folk and perhaps the best singer-songwriter ever to come along in a long time. I had the pleasure of hearing him live along with Joe Jencks and Cheryl Prasker (a percussionist). I also have his latest album " Heaven Is So High and I'm So Far Down" which is a pure joy to listen to. If he ever appears in your area it is definitely worth a special effort to hear him. He is that good. SOL |
