I know (because I've seen it as well as heard it talked aboaut) there's a gallery of "mug shots" of Mudcatters. I'm finally in a position to submit my mug, but can't find access to the gallery and also don't know how to submit my JPEG. Didn't find it in the FAQ permathread, either.

Anybody?

Look under the "Quicklinks" at the top of the page and scroll down to "Mudcat Resources."

Submit photos to Pene Azul.....his addy is at the Resources section.

Also, if you look real close you will find another one, which links to 'Catters own photo sites, in about the second Joe Offer post in the FAQs, it's at the top of a list as Mudcatters' Photos. But for the Rogues' Gallery, Spaw has pointed you in the right direction.

Actually kat, the tree is OK, but I was wondering about that nasty growth on his stomach........Dave, I think you can have that thing surgically removed. Check with your insurance under "banjectomy."

ummm...it would be nice to have a warning that it requires both Java and loading a 468K background image to view that link.... it's very impressive, but quite slow.

Bill, had I any idea what on earth you are talking about, what with Java and background images and such, I would be happy to warn you. As it is, I got tired of waiting for dtuff to load everywhere and sprung for DSL. The page loads as fast any any other for me. Sorry for the inconenience, though.

*grin*....I sure am HOPING for DSL or cable one of these days, but right now it is still out of my price range and the providers are getting articles written about them everyday detailing service horror stories. In a few years, I imagine big images and complex scripts will make little difference, but right now there are still people trying to access the WWW at 14,400...and often getting less than that. DSL runs from 360,000 to 1 or 2 millon, but they have still not done the wiring to get signals thru cleanly at those speeds for most of us.

(That is a great background image at that site...I saw the original at the NASA site Earth by night)

interesting note....one guy at a newsgroup I read said he tried to use that picture as his computer wallpaper, but it slowed his entire computer down to a crawl....
