Hi, Gary - it's called simply "Time," and it was recorded by the Pozo-Seco Singers. Collector's Choice Music, (800)923-1122, put out a Pozo-Seco CD last year, with 2 LP's on one CD. It's also available (and cheaper) at CDNow.

More trivia~~Don Williams of the Pozo Seco Singers went on to an exceptional career as a solo artist. Of course, his type of country music has been replaced by something else, but that is another story.

And don't forget Sheb Wooley's (aka Ben Colder) recording of TIME AFTER TIME...

Time after time after time after time after time after time after time After time after time after time.

CHORUS:

Time after time after time after time after time after time After time after time after time.

You gotta hear it to appreciate it!

So, does anybody have the lyrics to Pozo-Seco's "Time"? I mean, the lyrics that Gene posted are really profound and all, but.....

I found a site about a year ago that had a lot of folk music lyrics from the 60 and 70, but have since lost it through several browser changes. If this rings a bell with anyone, you might post it and it might have the lyrics.

Hi. I don't get on the Forum often because I can't stop once I start. Anyway, I have the record. What I remember is,

Some people walk, some people crawl,
Some people don't even move at all
Some roads lead forward, some roads lead back
Some roads are dressed in white,
some wrapped in funeral black.

TIME, oh time, where did you go
Time, oh good good time
where did you go?

Some people never get, some never give
Some people never die and some never live.
At sunrise I laugh, at sunrise I cry
At midnight I'm in between and wondering why.
(CHORUS)

In the unlikely chance that I can locate the record, I'll send you more verses if they exist, and/or correct what I've just entered. - Ferrara

I'm looking for the artist (a woman, I think)/album which contains these lyrics:

"Noon by the clock and no one's on the dock, you can hear the boats miles away,"

"but you never know to who you're talking...you never know to who you're talking"

"and the ship, the black raider, settles down in the harbor and on it is me..."

I think it was the late sixties...any one remember it?

When looking for a song create a new thread, you'll have a far better shot at an answer, rather than to have it buried in an old post. Try a forum search for a song called Pirate Jenny, there was a good bit of dicussion on this quite some time ago. Barry
