this is a nice minor tune which I caught the end of on the radio, played on a harp

the announcer said it was a traditional Welsh tune, called either
the queen's march
the queens marsh
the queens marche

not sure which... but I can't find any of them.... does anyone know the tune?

thanks

I found something called Queens March with the WebWide ABC Index--can you get there and do you have a translate program? It is a march in D and credited to John Clare,(1793-1864) I printed it, and if you can't deal with this, let me know and I will scan and send to see if it is the right one. Starts with a half note on D above middle C......

It might be a tune from an Ossian publication book of Celtic harp tunes. I have a copy of it somewhere around the house. Don't know anything about midi-files, but I'd be glad to photocopy the page and mail the old fashioned way,if you think that's what you help.

"The Queen's Marsh" is on Old Earth: Welsh Music on Triple Harp to Fire the Soul by Robin Huw Bowen [with sound clip]. Printed music for "Morfa'r Frenhines" is in The Celtic Harp.
