One of my favorite singer-songwriters and bands is parachuting into Maine on Saturday, February 14th, 7:30 pm, at the Chocolate Church in Bath.

Admission is $14 in advance, $16 at the door, $2 discount for seniors and members.

Jez is a master at composing historical and topical ballads, and with the Bad Pennies to back him there will be wonderful harmonies and lots of Celtic drive to the tunes.

Judy and I are going. How about the rest of you?

Suggestion for dinner beforehand: the Beale Street Barbeque & Grill specializing in smoked dead critters, 215 Water St. in Bath, 442-9514; be there by 5:30 pm.

Many of his that I like, but the soft/rough sentimentality of "Greek Lightning" and "London Danny" tops it all for me.
