Subject: cricket sound From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 26 Jan 04 - 09:15 PM Is there such a thing as a device that makes a sound like a cricket chirping? I'm learning a new song, "Seeing Nellie Home," that seems to call for it. |
Subject: RE: cricket sound From: KT Date: 26 Jan 04 - 09:20 PM You might look for the book , "The Very Quiet Cricket" by Eric Carle. It has a cricket sound in it that might work for you......KT |
Subject: RE: cricket sound From: GUEST,ozmacca Date: 26 Jan 04 - 11:18 PM You could try one of those articles which I know as a Fish". A small sound box with a ribbed strip on one side, along which you lightly rub a stick or rod. Sounds kind of cricket-like with a moderate suspension of disbelief. |

Subject: RE: cricket sound From: GUEST,Martin Ryan Date: 28 Jan 04 - 04:48 AM Reminds me of nights I used to go chasing corncrakes (don't ask!). We cut a sawtooth effect along a beef rib bone, then scraped another bone across it, cupping the hand to get the sound to match the birds call. Worked a treat! Regards |
