Subject: RE: Walking & Music W/E Garstang Lanc's UK From: Barb'ry Date: 12 May 04 - 11:17 AM Interested - but what does 'elbow exercise only' mean? Is it a 'listen and join in when you're told thing' or is there an opportunity for a sing around? Good luck anyway Barb'ry |

Subject: RE: Walking & Music W/E Garstang Lanc's UK From: Willa Date: 14 May 04 - 06:39 AM This seems like a wonderful combination; can't make it at short notice, but I'd be interested in knowing whether it is an annual event. |
Subject: RE: Walking & Music W/E Garstang Lanc's UK From: GUEST,Pete Date: 14 May 04 - 04:44 PM Willa - sure is in fact it's how the Fylde Folk Festival began - with The Wyre Walk ending at Fleetwood with folk music and dancing from morris teams - it was such good fun they decided to do it every year - but without the walk and with more and more artists. As a matter of interest Ian Gartside was on the original Wyre Walk and was the first person to sing at what was to become the Fylde Folk Festival. Pete IGB hello Trev,,, |
