Good to hear ya, Betty!!

Been hiding up, playin' a few tunes. Still can't get on at work, and Mrs Skipjack wields a mean rolling pin 'round here. She's taken the dog from hell (hull?) for walkies, so I snuck on.

I will do me level best to get there for the Saturday night hootnannay, but as it's only two weeks after the Munster Hop, my reservoir of goodwill at home will be near empty

Please come, with bratling and him indoors!

Skipjack (about 2 miles sarf of you, john from hull)

Terry, if your 'handicapped' friends are the ones you play golf with... then the moral issue is for you to decide. After all, you spend so little time in that activity compared with playing music...

Computer's been down for a couple of weeks - it felt like we were incommunicado! We would like to come to the gathering, we have a camper van (affectionately known as the Panzer!) Bob will probrably bring his Northumbrian pipes so let us know if there any objections to animal cruelty - they only SOUND like a cat being strangled! Looking forward to seeing you again Noreen and Cat - Terry says hurry up and come back to the Ducie!

This really is going to be some 'DO' If everyone that says they are does come we should have over fifty Mudcatters and partners. Althought the Jug is not a big pub we will have full use of both bars and the dining room and the marquee in the beer garden so there will be plenty of places to go to sing or play . There will be an elastic programme for the weekend but at the end of the day it will be what YOU make it (yes you with the beard! and you with the fancy trousers!)There will be music sessions, there will be singarounds, and everything inbetween including belly dancing, the custard workshop and other things we will make up just for the hell of it! So if you haven't already decided to come decide NOW!
THanks Jane

We've told a couple of friends about the weekend - they said camping with a load of folkies sounds like really good fun, when we added it was in a pub they begged for details, so can you add another couple of people to the numbers please! Would there be a problem if they wanted to bring a caravan? - if there is, they could bring tents instead. Sue

Can probably squeeze in another van OK. There has been a suggestion of the Jug doing cooked breakfasts (at a time to suit!) at £2.50 for the works. As this is not their usual fayre could people let me know if they might be interested (Not binding) so Val can shop for bacon eggs etc.
Thanks Jane

HI Mrs Duck, I've signed up yet again on the site, I keep losing my page for some reason. Yes as you say photographer to the poor and famous. Just in case I lose my sign up again email nickscaife@supanet.com. Well we're back from Ireland and raring to enter the festival fray, so whats this yorkshire gathering all about then. PS I still smile at the thought of the "Abbey Road" photo, wouldn't mind a copy for my collection

Can do Nick. All the details of the weekend can be found by clicking on the link in my first posting above. Liz I haven't got the telephone number of the B&B but if you ring the Jug on 01757 270307 they will give you the numbers for a couple of local ones. Only three weeks to go !!

If things go to plan I should be in Ripon the following weekend dancing the Morris. Anyone around that area that weekend look out for a man in blue knee breeches, red stockings, white shirt and a bowler hat!

And chocolate madeira sponge fruit cake sounds great to me, Sue!

Sounds pretty good to me we could always put Les on top as the decoration!
BTW I have let Val know that people are generally interested in the idea of cooked breakfasts but haven't actually given her names and numbers but there will be plenty for any that want. Other meals will also be available and we still plan to have a barbeque on Saturday evening which Val and Syd are organising so no need to bring anything for that. It will be about £5 per head to include all meat salads bread etc. (less for kids but haven't got final figures worked out with Val yet) If the weather should prove unkind there will be a marquee so we can keep dry!

But I'm not going on the top of the cake. I might be versatile but I'm not decorative.

Where did Syd move the gate to, and why? Do we want it? Is it to pen micca in when he's had too much cider? Or to make Eric feel at home? :0)
