Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: Bill D Date: 25 May 11 - 04:02 PM I'll tell my score.... 23,072 |
Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: GUEST,Paul Burke Date: 25 May 11 - 04:21 PM Strange game, it says I was 4 miles from Zagreb. That's got to be less than 1 pixel at the scale of the map. And they don't have miles in Zagreb, they have kilometara, and they don't have miles in Germany either. |
Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: G-Force Date: 26 May 11 - 02:27 PM Well, I got 27,821. I got thrown by Athens, because the Greek islands were missing off the map. |
Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: Newport Boy Date: 26 May 11 - 02:48 PM I managed 27,300 - including locating Paris in Spain :-( |
Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: Bill D Date: 26 May 11 - 07:24 PM Funny... I hit St. Petersburg within a few miles, but located one Italian city in the wrong part of the country....and misread one city and missed it by 400 miles. |

Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: Ebbie Date: 27 May 11 - 03:19 PM Speaking as a stay-at-home Amurrican what strikes me is how close together these cities/countries are. In the US, most of them would be considered just a day's drive apart. |
Subject: RE: BS: Lost in Europe? From: Mysha Date: 27 May 11 - 05:44 PM Hi, Well, it's possible to hit cities quite closely, like Lisboa at 1 mile. It's a bit curious, though, as most airports aren't that close to the city at all. It is indeed a bit strange that they removed the Peloponnesos while they do show Corsica, which is less than half the size. I also didn't like to be asked to pick Frankfurt on a blank map, without a mention of which one. Well, a fun diversion. And scores above the twenty nine thousand are possible. But I hope that when I go flying for the first time in my life, planes take of slightly more smoothly than Ready! Set ... And it's off. The speed is impressive, though. Too bad there was no return game; I might have learned something, for the holiday to come. Bye, Mysha |
