Subject: RE: BS: LETTERMAN TONIGHT From: tiggerdooley Date: 27 Feb 01 - 06:53 PM That's a bit spooky, 'cos I posted a lyrics request on Friday to find the words to a lullaby that my Great Grandma used to sing to me called 'Go to sleep my baby' (I got them!) Somebody told me that a variation may be the Alison Krauss version from the film. Until Friday I didn't even know of this, now all of a sudden I'm gonna get to hear it (but not until tomorrow, 'cos the UK gets Letterman a day late.) Cool! |

Subject: RE: BS: LETTERMAN TONIGHT From: Dharmabum Date: 27 Feb 01 - 07:24 PM Also, for what it's worth,I see Dolly Parton is scheduled to be on Jay Leno tonight, same time. She's been promoting her new CD,"Little Sparrow" & I've got to admit I'm pretty impressed with it. Guess I'll just have to record one & watch the other. Hope I can stay up that late. Ron. |

Subject: RE: BS: LETTERMAN TONIGHT From: SeanM Date: 28 Feb 01 - 04:02 AM Sweet. One of the things I like about Letterman is his refusal to let bands use lipsync tapes. Not that this would happen with the musicians in question, but it results in (my opinion) better performances. I rather liked the version of "Nothing But the Babe" on tonight, with the pure acapella as opposed to the saw and call/response version from the soundtrack... "Man of Constant Sorrow" though... Dang. Can I be them when I grow up? M |

Subject: RE: BS: LETTERMAN TONIGHT From: Dharmabum Date: 28 Feb 01 - 07:58 AM Thanks to G.Dubya & the S.O.T.U.address,Letterman was delayed about a half hour. It worked out so I could catch Dolly on Leno & then jump over to Letterman for the rest. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Ron. |
