Subject: RE: Help: Bucks events From: The_one_and_only_Dai Date: 07 Sep 01 - 03:38 AM Which part of Bucks, Michael? North Bucks has the stuff in Stony Stratford and Olney has Julie B's session (I think) and Whittlebury and Winslow and all that stuff... I know for a fact there's stuff on in Aylesbury, Naphill, Chesham, Tingewick - so I suppose the accurate answer to your wuestion is 'yes'. Anyway, welcome to Mudcat. |

Subject: RE: Help: Bucks events From: Steve Parkes Date: 07 Sep 01 - 05:46 AM Julie B's session in Olney is actually Pat's (non-Mudcat) session in Wollaston at the moment (The Cuckoo, Wollaston, 1st Monday in the month). There's Bedford FMC at the King's Arms, St Mary's St, Bedford every Thursday (singarounds, with the occasional guest night) Steve |

Subject: RE: Help: Bucks events From: Cllr Date: 07 Sep 01 - 06:58 AM Uxbridge Folk Club runs on Tuesdays at the Crown and Treaty on the Oxford road out of Uxbridge town center this is virtually on the bucks/uxbridge border. Cllr Ps any one got any more detail on what happens in Winslow mentioned earlier in this thread |
Subject: RE: Help: Bucks events From: Gervase Date: 07 Sep 01 - 07:13 AM Just over the border in Cookham there's the Maidenhead Folk Club, which meets on Thursdays, and there's one near High Wycombe on Wednesdays. Both a friendly, welcoming places with nice people and good guests- give 'em a try. One I haven't been to, but have heard good things about , is the Tudor Folk Club, which meets on Mondays at Chesham. The estimable Martin Nail has a great page of resources and listings for clubs and sessions here which may be able to fill in a few gaps. And for music sessions in Bucks, try here, although some of the listings may be a tad out of date and need a phone call to confirm. |
